Managed office of 43 professionals and technicians responsible for comprehensive industrial hygiene, radiological health, lead-based paint, asbestos abatement, hazardous materials management and emergency response support for over 13,000 personnel in over 500 shops and residing in base housing facilities. Five quality management initiatives designated as Air Force best management practices.

Vandenberg Air Force Base, California 1990-1994
Represented Vandenberg Air Force Base to California environmental regulatory agencies. Developed and managed EPA regulatory programs under CERCLA, RCRA, and CWA. Negotiated Federal Facility Remediation Agreement with state regulators. Coordinated environmental impact assessment used by California agency as an example of excellence. Developed the reasoning to litigate a hazardous waste violation preventing a $150K state fine. Hazardous and solid waste program planning saved $4M annually in disposal costs.

Bioenvironmental Engineer, Air Force Institute of Technology, Ohio 1986-1990
Collaborated with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency to evaluate field instrumentation for early detection of hazardous chemical release. Designed and conducted environmental chemistry research.
